Ayr Racecourse Facilities

Restaurants and Bars

Ayr Racecourse offers a wide range of restaurant and bar options, from the luxurious to a range of fast food outlets. During the Coral Scottish Grand National, all facilities open three hours before the first race. Access to some restaurants and bars is restricted to club members only.

For Grandstand Ticket Holders:

For grandstand ticket holders, Ayr Racecourse facilities include the Eglinton Suite and Restaurant and the Cree Lodge and Jock’s Lodge Bars, all situated behind the main grandstand and within easy access of the betting hall. Seating at the Eglinton Restaurant can’t be pre-booked.

Also for grandstand ticket holders, the Be Friendly Bar is situated near the Paddock area. When the weather’s good, outdoor seating is available.

For Club Members:

For club members, the Princess Royal Suite provides the Furlong Bar and the Horseshoe Bar, both of which overlook the whole racecourse. After the last race each day of the Scottish Grand National Festival, the Horseshoe Bar provides live music and dancing.

The Champagne and Seafood Bar overlooks the paddock area, the Belleisle and Bistro Bars are located on the ground floor of the Princess Royal Stand, and the Paddock Restaurant – for which you need to pre-book – is on the ground floor of the stand adjacent to the paddock.

Private Ayr Racecourse facilities include the Owners & Trainers Bar and the Seafield Bar, both situated on the first floor of the Princess Royal Stand.

The Princess Royal Stand includes two restaurants that provide private dining facilities for up to 200 people – The Roman Warrior and The Chancellor Carvery. The Princess Royal Stand also includes private suites that accommodate from 20 to 100 guests. Additional private suites are available in the Paddock Stand.
